November 2007: The German distributor Pro-Fun Media (www.pro-fun.de/) releases the DVD in german speaking countries, and the American TLA releases it in the U.S. and in the U.K. (www.tlavideo.com)

March 2007: Antiprod Distribution releases the DVD in European French speaking countries (France, Belgium, Switzerland). See: www.antiprod.com

The British Film Institute has chosen the film to be part of a theatrical forty cities tour in the U.K. and Ireland, from May to October 2007.

The film wins Best Canadian Feature (Entertainment Partners Canada Award for Best Canadian Feature-Length Narrative or Documentary) at Inside Out Festival in Toronto. The jury members, Chris McDonald, Laurie Lynd, Sharon Lewis et Cassandra Nicolaou, underlined the quality of the film: "In AMNESIA: THE JAMES BRIGHTON ENIGMA, Denis Langlois uses a real life mystery as a launching point for an artful and compelling film. Not only does the film entertain and engross until the final frame, it successfully mines philosophical territory – exploring notions of memory, identity and desire."

Presented by K-Films Amérique distribution and sponsored by Fugues, the world premiere took place Monday, September 26th 2005, at Quartier Latin Cinema in Montreal (Canada), as a benefit for the organizations Gay Line and Gai Écoute in the presence of the actors and the makers of the film. It was released commercially at Quartier Latin Cinema on September 30th, and then played at the Parisien Cinema on October 7th.
